Tonight, 52 people who lost everything in the floods have a safe place to sleep, because a local church in the mountains opened its doors to all of them.
A partner church is currently housing 52 people who have been displaced by the flood. These people share different spiritual beliefs – from Tibetan Buddhism to Hinduism – all finding shelter and care at a Baptist church. This is one of the clearest pictures of the light of the gospel breaking forth in complete devastation. Not only that, this is what it truly looks like to love your neighbor as yourself.
Your generosity is what makes this possible.
The Devastation
It was one thing to watch the flooding unfold from afar, and it is another to stand in the middle of it. There isn’t a framework to process the amount of devastation and the power of the flood.
Entire villages were wiped away. Homes, farmland, and livestock now lie buried under deep layers of mud and silt along roughly 100 miles of riverbank.
This is different from the 2015 earthquake, because this time the land itself is buried. Recovery will take months and years.

First on the Ground
Within days of the flooding, our national team was one of the first organizations to reach one of the hardest-hit villages. They delivered critical medicine, food, cooking oil, water filters, sleeping mats, and mosquito nets.
When they found army and police personnel stationed in the area who had not yet been resupplied, our team supplied them too.
Since then, 24 team members have deployed to serve alongside our national staff. They have shoveled mud out of family homes and cleaned out an elderly care home that housed 35 residents. That home lost many people in the flood, and some are still missing. Our team has also provided clothing, food, and care for 17 children orphaned by the disaster.

400+ families have been served so far.
What’s Next
- Continued relief. Families are still displaced, so we will keep delivering food, clean water, and essential supplies for as long as the need remains.
- Medical response. E. coli and other diseases are on the rise, so we are sending a medical team into the affected region.
- Rebuilding. As the relief phase closes, we will help families restore and rebuild their homes, all through our local church partners.
Thank You
Thank you for your prayers, your generosity, and your trust. Every gift is reaching real families in one of the most devastated regions of the world right now. The road to recovery is long, and we are committed to walking it with them.

Help fund the next phase. Your gift today can help provide critical medicines and resources to assist families with the rebuilding process.

Dear Friends, It's encouraging to step back and see how God continues to work through Commissioned International.

The Unreached Himalayas
God opened the doors for Commissioned International to take a medical team into one of the most remote and unreached areas of the world, the Himalayas.
