Commissioned International is a non-profit that exists under the Lordship of Jesus Christ to EVANGELIZE the lost, DISCIPLE the saved, and MINISTER to the needs of the poor.
During Jesus’ life, He met not only the spiritual needs of the people, but the physical needs as well. We believe that our job is to care for the least of these and the most vulnerable among us. As followers of Christ, we are called to care for the vulnerable population, including God’s precious children.
The Good Shepherd Children’s Home is located in Zamorano, Honduras. The GSCH serves as a full-time ministry to the abused, neglected, and abandoned children of Honduras. Children at the Home receive the basic necessities of life – food, clothing, shelter, education, and lots of love. The GSCH is built on the firm foundation of love: Love for God and Love for Children. The GSCH provides medical, dental, nutritional, educational, psychological, and spiritual care to the children. On nearly 70 acres, the GSCH includes casitas (cottages), the Good Shepherd Christian Academy, a counseling center, the Library and Learning Center, a sewing center, swimming pool, full-service cafeteria, chapel, youth center, health and dental clinics, and a farm.
Located on the GSCH campus in Zamorano, Honduras, the Good Shepherd Christian Academy is dedicated to providing a high quality, bilingual education that is rooted in the gospel of Jesus Christ and designed to prepare students for a bright and successful future. We believe that education is the best long-term solution for overcoming poverty. Students at the GSCA live at both the GSCH and the surrounding rural community.
The Emmanuel Home of Protection is located in Diriamba, Nicaragua. Operating under the supervision of the Nicaraguan government, the Emmanuel Home of Protection provides care for young ladies who have been rescued from trafficking and abusive situations with spiritual, emotional, physical and psychological support, along with education, pre-vocational training, food, and shelter in a safe, Christian environment. The Emmanuel Home of Protection opened in 2008 and serves young ladies, many with babies of their own. We are not in the ministry of rescuing the girls. Instead, our goal is to provide a safe place to be restored mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
The Mount of Olives Christian School is located in San Gregorio, Nicaragua. The MOCS offers children the opportunity to receive a quality, Christ-centered, bilingual education and the tools necessary to grow into productive citizens. The MOCS also offers a post-graduate program for the students who show an interest in going to college after graduating from high school. The Nicaraguan government pays tuition for students who attend any government-supported university. Our program provides students with a monthly stipend to help them with transportation, books, and supplies.
Seeds of Grace children’s homes encompass three homes in rural Nepal where orphaned children are able to experience His loving embrace. These homes are led primarily by Nepali couples who pour into the children and see to their physical and spiritual nourishment. The children are provided with counseling, a quality education, and life skills to ensure that they meet the world as capable young adults when they are ready to leave the homes. The first home opened in 2015, and two additional homes opened in 2022.
In the heart of Nicaragua, the Emmanuel Home of Protection stands in the gap for young girls rescued from trafficking and abuse. Through counseling, education, life skills, and spiritual care, they are being restored — body, mind, and soul. This is a story of redemption, of a 13-year-old mother, her baby, and the unshakable hope found in Christ.
