Emmanuel Home Welcomes Three Girls and Three Babies
July 25, 2025 | Homepage

In the past month, three new girls and three babies have arrived at the Emmanuel Home of Protection. While each of their stories is heartbreaking, we’re reminded that there are countless more girls in desperate need of a safe haven. We’re grateful these young mothers and their babies have found their way here. Read more about their stories below.
Jennifer is 15 years old with a three-month-old baby girl named Aurora. After being abandoned by her parents, Jennifer was rescued from the streets. The adjustment has been challenging, as she’s spent much of her life in survival mode. Baby Aurora was born three months premature and has a heart condition, requiring extended hospitalization. She was recently stable enough to come home to Emmanuel, where both mother and baby are now beginning a new chapter of healing and care.
Erlinda is 16 years old and the mother of a three-month-old baby girl named Darissa. She was rescued from a situation of human trafficking and is now beginning the journey toward healing.
Despite everything she has endured, Erlinda is a kind and gentle young woman who shows deep love and care for her baby.
Jaime is just 13 years old and the mother of a one-month-old baby boy named Marcos. When she was only 11, her parents gave her to a man in his 30s. Despite the deep trauma she has experienced, Jaime is a sweet and resilient young girl who is adjusting well to life at the Emmanuel Home. We don’t have a photo of Jaime yet, as she is still adjusting to being at the Home, and we want to give her privacy until she is comfortable.
